In some ways it seemed a bit odd to order such mundane items as toilet paper and batteries online but my first order with Alice was still a great experience.
The sign-up experience Alice has developed is excellent. First, users are asked to designate the number of adults and children in the household. Alice uses this information to then suggest product categories for users to fill in.
Setting up my product selections was an easy and fun experience. In a strange way it was sort of fun going through each category suggested by Alice and finding my preferred brand. I was pleasantly surprised with the relatively wide variety of brands Alice carries. I honestly was expecting there to be a rather limited selection, but almost every item I searched for came up.
A few days later, a shiny black and blue box was waiting in front of my door when I got home from work. Inside the box were the items I ordered, carefully packed into little cardboard compartments.
